MY PROFILE

I am a freelance illustrator, graphic/web/multimedia designer, with over a 25 years
experience. I have extensive experience and a very good working knowledge of pre-press,
press, digital/internet technologies, social media content creation. Staying up-to-date with and utilising the industry standard software I achieve excellent results for my clients.
My role as a department supervisor of an inhouse art department for
a successful direct marketing company involved a heavy emphasis
on communication, with staff, management and clients. Customer
service and satisfaction was a high priority. I believe this position
allowed me to develop the necessary skills to communicate and
provide customer service at a high level.

Although I have a diverse range of skills that cover most areas of the commercial design and illustration industry ans is the core of my work. I do greatly enjoy, removing myself from the those confines , when I can. While those skills, usually fall into a commercial arrangement, with a focus on marketing products and services. There is an area that I am passionate about, that does not typically fall within those norms. The far more personalised and rewarding area of pencil drawing. I first steps into the world of art and design was with a pencil in hand. A passion that still burns strong within to this day.

The emotional connection and appreciation that people have for a hand drawn illustrations, will never cease to encourage and amaze me. Family, friend, pet and wedding portraits, beautifully capture the escents of a cherished moment in time that photos just can not match.
